Peta Minter has completed a number of “Village Music Circles” trainings courses in the USA, including The Mentor Program 2012, 2013 and 2014 and in Australia.
Peta has travelled the world studying from Master drummers from Ghana, Brazil and America.
Peta is endorsed by drum company Remo, who make amazing drums and percussion instruments.

She is a qualified personal coach and has completed accredited and recognised International Coach Federation (ICF) Certificate 1v and ICF approved coach training. 10547NAT Certified 1v in Business and Personal Coaching.

Peta has more than 25 years’ experience teaching, performing and facilitating. Having taught in schools, drum shops and in her own classes and workshops, she is a highly regarded drum teacher.
She has attended Holyoake’s DRUMBEAT Program, an evidence-based therapeutic intervention program that uses music to engage participants.
Peta’s love of percussion and her passion for connecting people of all walks of life through rhythm-based music has taken her to all parts of the globe, including Africa, Japan, America and England. She has also studied with some of Australia’s top drummers and percussionists, including Darryn Farrugia (Hey Hey It’s Saturday), Dave Beck (In Melbourne Tonight), David Jones (James Morrison), master facilitator Arthur Hull and Fire Up Coaching (accredited coach training).
She has shared the stage with renowned musicians, such as Southern Son’s lead singer, Jack Jones, saxophonist Fiona Burnett, master percussionist David Jones, Tom O’Kelly (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra), bassist Evripides Evripidou (Bob Sedergreen), West African band Zazu, and international master dancer and drummer Lamine Sonko.
Peta is a member of David Jones’ percussion band DRUM! Their first concert was broadcast on ABC Radio National Sunday Live! program. In 2001 and 2003 DRUM! performed sell-out concerts in Japan, receiving three standing ovations.
As well as leading her own Band, Peta has appeared at many music festivals, including Merimbula Jazz Festival, Moonee Ponds Festival, Boolarra Folk Festival, Maffra Harvest Festival and the Moe Jazz Festival, and was invited to play at the launch of Dandenong’s Drum Theatre.
