Sound healing journey to inspire personal transformation
What kinds of sound healing instrument do you love to play? The drum, native American flute, singing bowls or your voice?
What if we could bring together our passion for playing our musical instrument with intention to create a practice of strengthening our virtues? Infusing these elements can be a profound and uplifting experience!
Just imagine when we improvise playing a song from our heart, our authenticity naturally flourishes, nurturing our virtues. Music becomes not just an art form, but a transformative practice.
Four healing elements of music come together
The sweet sounds of melody, rhythm and harmony, with the secret ingredient… you, makes up the beautiful combination of sonic healing. A musical love letter for ourself, mother nature and our global community.
The power of improvisation and connecting to our heart space
Making time for the self for creativity and intentional music making, such as a sonic prayer, draws us into our inner space of silence. This space within elevates our qualities of peace, joy, love and wisdom, silencing the weaknesses.
This nourishment of silence transcends sound, the boundaries and limitations we put upon ourself. Our sonic prayer, whether you’re playing the native American flute, medicine drum, kalimba, African djembe drum, voice or acoustic guitar, gives us wings to fly with creativity and musical freedom. All leading back to our virtues.
With an intention for healing from our heart centre, we fill our self with love and naturally let go of self judgement, we step into our creative space within. With silence we go beyond wasteful thoughts of ’I’m not worthy of love’.
Some homework for you to really imbibe this sonic prayer adventure. Take 30 minutes or longer if needed to write down your virtues. Here are a few tips to help you go within.
- Find a space that you can relax and be with yourself
- Make sure there won’t be any distractions for the next 30 minutes
- Set the mood, pop on some music at a low volume that will support you through this process
- Write on a nice piece of paper
- Let go of judgement, such as “I can’t think of anything nice about myself”
Whether you’ve written down one or 50 virtues, bring them with you on this sound healing journey sonic prayer.
Let’s tune into compassion and truth and keep this in mind, let this be the platform, the foundation of where our thoughts lay within this energy.
