About Team Drumming Session

Does everyone receive an instrument to play?

Yes, all participants receive a drum or other percussion instrument to play.

How can drumming help build my team?

Clinical research is now providing evidence that group drumming increases productivity, reduces stress and increases feelings of wellbeing. Our custom designed rhythm-events are a rapid process for group development. It encourages clear communication, deep listening, develop leaders, resolve conflicts and enhance connection.

Our workplace programs are fun and energetic way to boost morale, increase productivity and build relationships in your team.

How many people for the team-building rhythm-event?

We cater to small to medium size groups from 8 to 80 people.

Can a Positive Music team-building program be tailored to suit my specific objectives?

Absolutely! We work closely with event planner to design a program that delivers your message and metaphors. We tailor each program for your specific needs and give examples to refer to. These experiences can relate to objectives of overall larger event, program, team or company.

Is audio equipment required?

If there are more than 20 people in your group, a PA system (sound system with one head microphone) will be required. However, we can supply PA/head microphone equipment and sound engineer on request for an additional fee.

Venue Considerations

Can you provide a venue?

We usually come to your workplace or event venue.

What’s an appropriate venue for the drumming team-building activity?

Depending on the how many participants, it could be a conference space or board room. You will need a big enough space for full circle/concentric circles, preferably carpeted to keep drumming at a low volume and enough chairs for all participants.

What’s the drum circle size and structure for the greatest impact?

The ideal set-up for our 60-90 minute team-building programs is full circle or concentric circles with one or two aisle ways, depending on how many participants. The drum circle space to be cleared of all tables, unless the event is a 15 minute energizer or ice-breaker, for which we have a dedicated program format.

For a workplace wellness program all is needed is a board room size space (depending on how many participants) at your workplace or venue of choice.

For example room size for a team-building or group bonding 60-90 minute session for 80 participants is no less than 15 x 20 meters.

When choosing the drum circle space, avoid abstractions such as pillars and lecterns blocking views. Please contact us for details.

Requesting a Team-Building Quote

I’d like a quote for my up-coming event, what is the process?

Email or phone Peta. She will tailor a proposal and email it to you. More information she has about your event the better she can customise and design a program that will suit your needs.

Peta has detailed questions about your event needs, so a 15 minute phone call will do.

Once Peta has all the information she will email you the proposal, including logistics, setup and break down times and outcomes. If you would like to discuss the proposal, contact Peta, she is here for you.
